Welcome to Pack 435 Website! 


The economy has been tough in Michigan.  We don't want anyone to leave cub scouts (or avoid joining scouts) due to financial constraints.  Partial scholarships are available through the Pack to assist with dues, uniforms, and camp fees.  Scholarships are open both to newly applying families and to existing members and can be applied for any time during the year.  Look below for Scholarship Guidelines and how to obtain a Pack 435 Scholarship Application.  Scholarships (Camperships) are also available through the Great Sauk Trail Council.

Now is the time for boys in the Chelsea area to join our Pack as a Tiger Club!  The Spring Scout Round-Up will be held in the North Creek Elementary School Cafeteria on April 24 from 6:30 to 7:30 PM.  Your Kindergardener will be able to participate in summer events for our Pack!  Parents of current Cub Scouts will be on hand to answer your questions, applications will be available, and help with uniforms and booklets is also offered!

Listed below are our other various Cub Scout dens and age groupings.  For more information click on the appropriate den in the column on the left of this page .  Applications for joining Cub Scouts are also available through the Great Sauk Trail Council or by clicking on the Cub Scout Application below.  

Tiger Den: Grade 1
Wolf Den: Grade 2
Bear Den: Grade 3
Webelos I: Grade 4
Webelos II: Grade 5

Partial scholarships are available through the Pack to assist with dues, uniforms, and camp fees. Scholarships are open both to newly applying families and to existing members and can be applied for any time during the year. The intent of the scholarship program is 1) to enable scouting participation for those who would like to join Cub Scouts but are financially unable to do so, 2) to help retain Cub Scouts who are already members of Pack 435 whose family financial circumstances have changed require assistance to remain and participate fully in Cub Scouts. In order to help as many families as possible, only partial tuition scholarships will be granted.

Funding for the scholarship program is provided by private donations and by the allocation of funds raised or donated through Pack 435 fundraising programs.

Applications to request a scholarship ask for a description of the need, how much financial assistance is requested, and if assistance has been requested from other sources. The completed application is returned to the Committee Chair. The application will be reviewed and awards determined by a review board made up of the Pack’s Committee Chair, the Treasurer and the Membership Chair. The process is confidential and no other Committee members (with the possible exception of the Camp Coordinator), Adult leaders or Pack families will be made aware of the scholarship.

The review board may also recommend other sources of assistance (such as Great Sauk Trail Council’s campership program) and assist the family in pursuing those opportunities.

As with all our members, the Pack expects a significant level of commitment through attendance, job execution, participation in fund raisers, and the generous donation of time and skills. The Pack reserves the right to withdraw scholarship funds at any time if this essential component of Pack membership is in question.
